Name of Proposal: 2016 Critical Areas Ordinance Update
Proponent: City of Gold Bar
Description: The City of Gold Bar intends to adopt amendments to the Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO). The amendmetns were prepared in compliance with the state Growth Management Act. The CAO has been updated to ensure it contains GMA-required information and are consistent with state agency guidance and BAS. The CAO is used to guide environmental review of land use actions and development activity within the City. All proposed amendments are non-project in nature.
Location: The proposal would amend the CAO for the City of Gold Bar and its urban growth area (UGA). The City of Gold Bar is located in Snohomish County, approximately 30 miles east of the City of Everett, on State Route 2, and 40 miles west of Stevens Pass.
Lead Agency: City of Gold Bar
The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probably significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.
This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below.
Comments must be submitted in writing to the City by 5:00PM on May 30, 2016.
