City of Gold Bar 10th Street Improvement Project, Start Date April 23rd

10th Street Improvement Project

The City of Gold Bar is conducting a major construction project on 10th Street.  The project will begin Monday, April 23rd and is expected to last through May 2018.  This project is intended to upgrade the existing water main along 10th Street from US Highway 2 to Glacier Place, improve pedestrian walkways from Us Highway 2 to Lewis Avenue, and provide roadway reconstruction, storm water infrastructure improvements, and a grind and overlay. The project is intended to create an attractive and safe walking route from nearby neighborhoods to the post office. It will result in concrete sidewalks, ramps and curbs as well as infiltration systems to improve safety and attractiveness for pedestrians and vehicular traffic.

Traffic detours and signage will be established to direct people around the projected site during the completion of work.

Local and emergency access will be maintained through the duration of construction.

The City of Gold Bar recognizes that construction in this road corridor could be an inconvenience to you. However, we will continue to make public safety our number one priority. If you have questions about the project, please email Public Works Director John Light at j.light@cityofgoldbar.us or call the Gold Bar City Hall at 360.793.1101.

For Community Transit Customers, please note that Community Transit will reroute all trips of Routes 270 and 271 off of 10th Street.  They will serve customers on Orchard Avenue, just west of the intersection with 9th Street.
