Community Resources – New Information on Septic Systems for Home Owners!
Knowing how to maintain and care for your Septic System is not only extremely important for you as a home owner, but is also greatly important to our environment; including our rivers and streams. The information below can also be found on our Community Resources Page under City Services.
- Septic Maintenance & Repair Webpages: There are multiple topics covered, including Understanding Your Septic System, Dos & Don’ts, Maintaining Your System, Signs of Septic Failure, Landscaping for Septic Systems, and other resources.
- Homeowner’s Guide to Septic Systems: A printable guide that covers key things homeowners should know about septic systems. Most of this information matches what is on our septic maintenance webpages but in a print-friendly format.
- Septic Care Workshop: A 1-1.5 hour free, online course for homeowners with septic systems that covers many topics including how septic systems work, septic records, maintenance, signs of problems, working with contractors, and financial assistance. Taking this course makes homeowners eligible for our Savvy Septic rebates.
- Savvy Septic Website & Infosheet: This website and infosheet covers resources available to homeowners through the Savvy Septic program. It includes the workshop, rebates, grants, and other financial assistance options.
