National Night Out is August 5th! It all starts at the Gold Bar Family Grocer at 7PM. A parade will head out from the Family Grocer at 7 p.m. and head to the field at Gold Bar Elementary School for a community celebration with food and drinks!
National Night Out is held to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
“Connecting with neighbors is one of the community’s most powerful crime-fighting tools,” said Sheriff Ty Trenary. “Countless surveys show that when homeowners know their neighbors, they say they are more likely to report something suspicious and are confident their neighbors will do the same. Connected communities are safer communities.”
