City of Gold Bar Municipal Code (GBMC), Regarding Fireworks!
Per GBMC 8.20.010 – Use of fireworks.
It is unlawful for any person to tire or cause to be fired any cannon, bomb, anvil or toy pistol, or fire or cause to be exploded any squib, rocket, cracker, Roman candle, torpedo, fireworks or fireworks display or other explosive device used for pyrotechnic display within the city.
8.20.020 – Sale of fireworks.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell or offer for sale, either at retail or wholesale, or have in his, their or its possession or custody any toy pistol, squib, rocket, cracker, Roman candle, fire balloon or other explosive fireworks used for pyrotechnic display within the corporate limits of the city.
8.20.030 – Violation—Penalty.
The general penalty of Section 1.16.010 applies.1.16.010 – General penalty.
A. Unless a specific penalty is otherwise stated, any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of any ordinance of the city is subject to a civil infraction as governed by the Infraction Rules for Courts of Limited Jurisdiction, as now hereafter amended. The penalty for such a violation shall be set by fee resolution.
B. Any law enforcement officer contracting with or employed by the City of Gold Bar with the authority to enforce any city, county or state laws within the City of Gold Bar shall have the authority to issue civil infraction notices for any violations.
C. Upon a second notice from a law enforcement officer, any person who fails to respond to the civil infraction shall be guilty of a misdemeanor regardless of the disposition of the notice of civil infraction.
