Open Council Position
The City of Gold Bar currently has one vacant Council position open. Any interested party meeting the requirements below may submit the attached application to be appointed to the open position. The appointment fills the open position only until the election in November. If an applicant wishes to continue as a councilmember they will be required to file for the position through Snohomish County Elections.
Letters of interest, along with the City application, should be submitted to the City of Gold Bar. Submissions may be mailed to:

Alternatively, applications may be emailed to the City Clerk at clerk.treasurer@cityofgoldbar.us, or submitted in person during normal business hours*.
Requirements to run for a City of Gold Bar Council seat:
- Registered to vote within the city limits for a minimum of six months prior to running.
- Reside within city limits more than 51% of the time
- Resident for a minimum of one year prior to the filing period

It is always advisable to speak to the City Clerk about the expectations and responsibilities of holding a council position prior to being appointed or elected.
*Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, closing daily from noon – 1:00pm for lunch.
