Effective now, Snohomish County residents and businesses can register with Smart911™, a free online, secure and confidential service where users can provide important details about their family, residence and more – before an emergency happens. “It can be hard to remember critical details when you call 911 in an emergency,” said Snohomish County Executive John Lovick. “Creating a safety profile in the Smart911 system means dispatchers will already have important information about you – even if you can’t communicate it.” Today, about 75 percent of 9‐1‐1 calls are made from wireless phones. However, wireless phones only provide the general location of a caller, not their exact address. With Smart911, people can put their […]
