DESCRIPTION:Nominate a Young Achiever \nNominations are being accepted through May 18\, 2018 for annual Mayor’s Youth Achievement Award\, which is given to two students\, one from Sultan and one from Gold Bar. This prestigious award recognizes the accomplishments of high school-age students who live in the Sultan School District. \nHome-schooled students are also eligible. \nThe goal of the award is to recognize and honor the positive achievements of Sky Valley students\, by recognizing those who have overcome obstacles to distinguish themselves in community service\, politics\, arts and entertainment\, academics\, athletics and citizenship. \n“As the vice president of the Sultan Education Foundation\, it brings me nothing but joy to recognize our students for their accomplishments\,” said Sultan Mayor John Seehuus. “I am constantly amazed at the dedication of our young people and am always impressed by their ability to achieve success despite tremendous obstacles.” \nThe Mayors of Sultan and Gold Bar will present separate awards at Sultan High School’s Annual Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony on Thursday\, May 31\, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the high school.
